The research related to the U.S. army soldier radio waveform (SRW) is analysed. An overview of the SRW waveform is given, focusing on the technical regime of the waveform, and a detailed analysis of the protocol stack and the network architecture is presented. The SRW is designed hierarchically from the physical layer, link layer and network layer and the application in relevant radio station (AN/PRC-152 radio station, AN/PRC-154 radio station, AN/PRC-155 radio station) is discussed in depth. Through the analysis and research of SRW waveform and related radio application discussion, it can provide relevant research results and reference basis for the new type of soldier self-organized network waveform design, and promote the development of new system of soldier self-grouping network radio development by leaps and bounds.
