Summary of the Response of Solid Rocket Motor Under Storage and Transportation Condition

During the process of storage and transportation, the solid rocket motor (SRM) mainly bearing temperature and random vibration loads. The safety of the rocket grain is possibly affected by the stress-strain concentration in the instantaneous action and the performance degradation of the propellant in the long-term dynamic loads. The characteristics and rules of the response of SRM under different temperature loads, such as solidification and cooling, low temperature and the cycling temperature loads are analyzed. Also that under different vibration loads, such as ship borne vibration and suspension flight loads are summarized. Finally, an advise to research the response of solid rocket motor under storage and transportation conditions is proposed as the reference in researching the structural integrity at the corresponding conditions.
